Hydrological basins
SAC has the experience necessary to implement automatic hydrological information systems in river basins, to rationalise and speed up decision taking processes and so prevent and reduce flood damage.
With remote collection of hydrological information, data are obtained about the condition of rivers, reservoirs, pluviometers, meteorological stations, irrigation systems, hydroelectric plants and even water quality. These data are forwarded to the Process Centre's supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.
SAC hhas supplied the largest system of this type in Spain along the Ebro hydrological basic with a total of 400 stations: reservoirs, weirs, river condition, canal condition, rainfall, valves, etc. grouped in 13 sub-basins with 100 radio repeaters and a central control point in Zaragoza.
