Smart Grids

 

With a long history in electrical power, water and gas engineering services and transmission & distribution network operations, SAC has the experience to successfully deploy intelligent networks that integrate the activities of connected users in order to deliver an efficient, safe and sustainable supply. They may be generators, consumers or businesses who generate and consume at the same time.

 

Irrespective of the medium (electricity, water or gas), what were previously passive meters or counters can become intelligent interactive devices with bidirectional communication capacity that can be read and also respond to commands.

 

Intelligent networks or Smart Grids

have three main components:

 

• Smart Metering (intelligent invoicing)
• Grid Intelligence (network infrastructure and its control systems)
• Utility IT (intelligent data management).
